Free Prompt: The shortcut to build powerful custom Skills in Claude

I’ve been transitioning some of my repeated prompts into Claude skills to improve my outputs, use tokens more efficiently, and reduce my cognitive load (wherever possible, right? 😅).

This is one of the prompts I used recently to help me identify those skill-appropriate tasks.

Prompt: “Based on my recent sessions, what tasks am I doing repeatedly that should be skills instead of one-off prompts? For each one, suggest a skill name and what context it would need. Once I review them and give the greenlight, please create the Skill.md and save to my skills folder.”

It’s an every evolving journey to build out our personal user skills library (different than public skills or built-in Claude behavior), but I’m planning a bi-weekly check-in with Claude to review new potentials based on my usage.
